It is with pleasure that we inform you of the launch of interesting COURSES at the Vantini School in Rezzato Brescia, the following is the press release from the school’s director dott.ssa Lara Vianelli:
“Thanks to the partnership agreement that has been renewed between the Rodolfo Vantini School of Arts and Professional Training, the Giuseppe Zanardelli Professional Training Centre, the Consortium of Brescian Marble Workers, the Consortium of Botticino Classical Marble Producers and the Consortium of Marble Quarrymen of the Nuvolera Valley, on 11 November evening courses in ART AND SCULPTURE will resume with the aim of promoting the culture of working stone and at the same time retraining workers in the stone sector.
The synergy deployed again by the partners has resulted in a catalogue comprising four training courses;
- FROM EARTH TO STONE: SCULPTURE TECHNIQUES starting 11 November 2021
- CREATING A WORK OF ART IN MARBLE starting 17 November 2021
- MARBLE PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY, commencing 21 March 2022
- MAKING A MURAL, with two weekends planned for March and April 2022
This training is part of the long tradition of the Vantini School , which was founded in 1839 at the behest of the great Brescian neoclassical architect Rodolfo Vantini and today represents the only reference point directly connected to the memory of the marble processing sites and its millenary working history, still capable of training new generations of professionals.
Making itself a protagonist and reference point for the training offer in this sector represents a particularly relevant objective in order to of giving value and meaning to a history and tradition that not only strongly links the School to the reasons of its founder, but also places it in close correlation with the peculiarity and specificity of a territory and a a productive dimension that has in this school its only educational reference point.
The institute can count on strong know-how in this field, on important collaborations that have been consolidated over the years with artists and craftsmen in the area, on a ramified system of companies that gravitate around the school, on a very strong link with associations and the institutional world, and above all on a unique technological endowment in Lombardy.
Referring to the local economy, the School appears to have an easier time than others in integrating itself into the territorial system and incorporating its instances thanks to a dialogue that it has been conducting for years with the sector’s major stakeholders. All the Consortia operating in the stone sector and many important companies in the sector have in fact been members of the Members’ Assembly of Scuola Vantini for years: an aspect that certainly favours dialogue.”
