NATURAL STONE MADE IN ITALY
MARBLE IS A NATURAL PRODUCT AND HAS DIFFERENT SHADE AND TONE VARIATIONS, EVEN IF EXTRACTED FROM THE SAME BLOCK. COLOUR DIFFERENCES HAVE TO BE CONSIDERED A VALUABLE OR A CHARACTERISTIC AND NOT A DEFECT.
CARRARA
Compact crystalline mass, can have medium fine to coarse-grained. From white to ivory or greyish background colour with grey and/or yellow veins.
BIANCO STELVIO
A compact, fine-grained crystalline mass of a ground white colour with a variety of colours in shades – ‘silver’ and/or ‘gold’ veins.
STATUARIO VENATO
Medium-fine-grained white crystalline mass with more or less dark greyish or amber veins.
BIANCONE
Compact, fine-grained white limestone with Jurassic plants and marine fossils and greyish, pinkish or yellowish veins. It is called BIANCO PERLINO too.
TRAVERTINO CLASSICO
Fine-grained limestone formed by overlauing of various levels of rock mass with a characteristic layered appearance and the presence of small holes. Inhomogeneous greyish beige colour when it is cross cut while it offers veined effect inits most popular surface when it is vien cut. Travertino Romano
TRAVERTINO ETRUSCO
Fine-grained limestone formed by the superposition of several layers of rock mass with a characteristic stratified appearance with the presence of small open holes. Tinted beige background with greyish and/or brown shading and striations. It offers cloudy effect when it is cross cut.
BOTTICINO
Variable beige fine-grained limestone, from pale yellow white with fine pink veins to dark cream with light spots. It takes its name from the locality of the same name in the Brescia area where it is quarried. (Botticino Classico, Semiclassico or Fiorito)
ROSA PORTOGALLO
A medium-fine to coarse-grained crystalline mass that is various in colour from white, pale pink, to orangey pink, lilac, with greyish and greenish hues. It is quarried in Portugal.
RED TRAVERTINE
Layered fine-grained limestone of orange-red to red-brown colour with the presence of small pores. It has characteristic veins from intense red to light one. Sometimes it can have light or white veins.
ROSSO ASIAGO
Dark red, fine-grained compact limestone with lighter flint or plant containing Jurassic-Cretaceous marine fossils and veins known as stilolites. It is also called ROSSO VERONA. It is extracted from Venetian Prealps, in the mountain zone just north of Verona and Vicenza.
ROSA PERLINO
Compact fine-grained pink limestone that changes its colour from light pink to full pink with flint, marine fossils and veins called stilolites.
TRAVERTINO NOCE
Fine-grained layered limestone of brown colour that can be light or dark, with greyish shades and the little holes. Walnut Roman Travertine called too.
SCABAS
Fine-grained limestone formed by the stratification of various layers of rock masses of very different colours: beige, red, dark and light brown, grey; with the presence of irregular cavities. This tuscan travertine is very fine for its characteristics and because it is hard to find.
TIGRATO BRECCIA SARDA
This compact dolomitic limestone consists of brown dolomite veins on a light-coloured background. Inside it si possible to find shells and marine fossils. It comes from Sardinia island in Italy nad it is also known as DAINO IMPERIALE or BRECCIA SARDA.
YELLOW TRAVERTINE
Layered fine-grained limestone of a yellow, golden and ochre colour with white veins and sometimes it is possible the presence of little holes. The most known comes from Iran. Slabs or tiles vein cut VC or cross cut CC.
GIALLO REALE
Compact, fine-grained limestone with a yellow background with cream and/or red shades and veins. It is mined from Venetian Prealps, in a very picturesque natural landscape between Verona and Vicenza.
GIALLO ATLANTIDE
Fine-grained limestone of a soft yellow colour with light spots and thin cream veins. Atlantis yellow is also called MIMOSA or SILVIA or SUNNY and comes from Egipt.
TRAVERTINO SAN PETER
Fine-grained limestone formed by the stratification of various levels of rock masses. It is hazel in colour, cloudy from dark beige to light brown and it has irregular little holes, which are typical of mountain travertine.
GREY FOUSSANA
A dark grey/brown sandstone lime with a uniform structure that is characterised by red hues and salts or rare white veins.
PIASENTINA
Sedimentary limestone rock quarried in Friuli zone quarries, in Italy. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use with excellent frost-proof properties.
TRAVERTINO STRIATO
Fine-grained limestone formed by the superimposition of various levels of rock mass with a characteristic layered appearance, when is vein cut, accentuated by the variation in colouring from grey, beige to brown. It is a SILVER TRAVERTINE variant.
BARDIGLIO
Fine-grained crystalline mass of dark grey colour. Sometimes its colour can be various from light to dark grey and It is ectracted from italian Apuane montains.
ARDESIA
Slate is a compact, lead-grey coloured stone that is easy to work. It is offered in two dark grey-black variants: black slate and grey slate.
NERO MARQUINIA
Medium-fine-grained black limestone with white veins and/or patched by small white fossils. It is a spanish black marble.
FOREST BROWN
Metamorphic marble is caractherized by a warm light brown background with dark brown, golden and bronze veins. It has branched veins that look like old roots of fossilized trees and it makes each slab or tile a unique piece.
DARK EMPERADOR
Precious marble with a dark brown background, almost black in the dark or hazelnut in the light. It is enhanced by warm streaks of different shades ranging from beige to cream and caramel. It is available in two variants: EMPERADOR DARK and EMPERADOR LIGHT.
FOREST GREEN
Marble with a green background colour reminiscent of rainforest colours with brown or green veins tending from dark to brilliant. It has branching veins, most likely due to old fossilised tree roots that make each slab and tile a unique piece as a lush vegetation.
GREEN MARBLE
Green marble, medium-fine-grained silicate of non-homogeneous green colour from emerald green to dark or intense green, with marbled veins that can vary in intensity and shade, whitish and/or black, depending on the block.
