The first edition of Futura Expo BRESCIA 2022 ended on Tuesday. It was a great new experience and it was mainly thanks to all of you who came to see us.
On Monday 3 October, the conference promoted by the Consorzio Marmisti Bresciani entitled ♻️ ‘Circular Economy: the turning point in the stone sector. The experience of the Consorzio Marmisti Bresciani’.
Speakers included: Dr. Luisa Senini, President of Consorzio Marmisti Bresciani and owner of SENINI STONE SRL, Dr. Michele Mazzoni, Geologist and Dr. Giuliano Ghirardi, Geologist. In the Brescian Stone District, virtuous behaviour has been adopted for many years in the management of stone waste, becoming a model of Circular Economy. Safeguarding the territory and the raw material are the cornerstones on which activities for the valorisation of quarrying residues and the transformation of stone products have been developed. Together with a number of partners, including Senini Stone, the Consortium has implemented two important projects, co-financed by Unioncamere and the Lombardy Region, involving sawmill sludge, mistone and quarry earth, effective alternatives for public and private construction as well as for the environment (environmental restoration) and industry.
