SLATE
Slate is a variety of calcareous-clayey schists easily divisible into thin, flat, light, waterproof and weather-resistant slabs, deriving from low-grade metamorphism of sedimentary rocks formed by the deposition of a very fine silt (marl) due to erosion of ancient reliefs. The term slate is traditionally used in Italy for Ligurian slates, generally Brazilian slate is used for floors and coverings, it is generally used only for interiors.
Slate is a rock classified as soft or semi-hard. It is a compact stone, lead gray in color and easily workable.
It is offered in two dark grey-black variants:
– BLACK SLATE
– GRAY SLATE
