Stones with an irregular shape rounded by tumbling make up the PALLADIANA SENINI STONE. This type of flooring with irregularly arranged fragments of marble or travertine is so called because it is frequent in Palladio’s works. The Palladian floor immediately brings to mind the charm of large stately homes and for this reason it is an important piece of Italian architectural history. The Palladiana has its origins in the opus incertum technique, i.e. the typical flooring made with stones of different and irregular cuts used by the ancient Romans. Also in this case, pieces of stone are used and placed next to each other without geometric rigor and without uniformity in size. Its value comes from the material that is used, which is why the use of Palladiana marble allows you to obtain a flooring of great value and aesthetic result. Irregular pieces of marble softened by tumbling: a perfect combination of beauty and functionality, rigor and creativity, the ideal choice for transforming projects into a unique and inimitable experience. Palladiana Tumbled SENINI STONE in Marble, Travertine and Natural Stones. Standard thickness 1 cm, on request big Palladiana thicknesses 2 or 3 cm. The PALLADIANA SENINI STONE or OPUS INCERTUM TUMBLED is the continuous natural stone flooring that gives value to any outdoor and indoor project. Flexible, customizable and in harmony with any context, PALLADIANA SENINI STONE is the ideal solution for paving the poolside, the terrace, the pedestrian path or the driveway entrance, but also for interior design spaces and wellness areas. The rounded shapeless piece floor is often called “irregular mosaic“. The material is calibrated and the edges are rounded by tumbling which resembles the rolling of pebbles in the river bed, softening the edges giving the surface an even more natural appearance. Palladian paving is therefore a paving technique very similar to the Venetian one in which the stones laid instead of in the form of flakes are found in rounded marble shapes. It is currently used to decorate outdoor environments such as swimming pools or solariums especially because it hardly heats up under the sun in the summer months. Due to its value and aesthetic rendering, the Palladian floor has been widely used over the years, over the centuries, to decorate the most prestigious residences and even today it is a solution of great visual impact that gives the class and elegance that only marble can give.
