SENINI STONE
ESG Sustainability
Sustainability is an integral part of Senini Stone’s identity and guides every decision we make, inspired by our commitment to natural stone culture, respect for people and responsibility towards the environment and local communities.
For more than thirty years, we have transformed marble, travertine and natural stone into surfaces designed to stand the test of time, combining traditional craftsmanship, technological innovation and circular economy principles.
Every production decision is driven by our ambition to create lasting value for customers, employees, business partners, local communities and the environment.
Our ESG commitment — Environmental, Social and Governance — shapes the Company’s long-term growth strategy through concrete, measurable actions.
Because true quality is defined not only by the products we create, but also by the way we create them.
Environmental

The Planet is Our Greatest Resource
Our environmental approach is practical, measurable and results-driven. We embrace a genuine circular economy, transforming production by-products into valuable resources.
- Recovery & Reuse: Thanks to our thirty-year partnership with the Consorzio Marmisti Bresciani, working in collaboration with a cement manufacturer, thousands of tonnes of stone processing by-products are recovered every year and reintroduced into industrial production as secondary raw materials.
- Energy Efficiency: We have completed a major energy efficiency programme across both our production facilities and showroom, installing high-efficiency heat pumps and low-energy LED lighting systems, with certified reductions in overall energy consumption (TEP).
- Regeneration: In 2023, we joined an innovative circular economy project focused on reusing quarry by-products for the construction of sustainable cycle paths, creating tangible environmental value for the local area.
- Responsible Operations: Our production process operates with a closed-loop industrial water recycling system. Warehouse handling equipment is fully electric, while cardboard packaging and wooden pallets are FSC® certified. Every operational decision is designed to minimise environmental impact while maximising resource efficiency.
Social

People and Communities at the Heart of Our Business
Our expertise is built on people. Our social commitment is reflected in tangible actions.
- Developing Human Capital: We protect fundamental rights and promote fair working practices in accordance with ISO 26000 guidance. People are our most valuable asset, which is why we continuously invest in technical and professional training.
- Gender Equality: In an industry traditionally dominated by men, CEO Luisa Senini leads both Senini Stone and serves as President of the Consorzio Marmisti Bresciani, representing a tangible example of female leadership, empowerment and inclusive management.
- Supporting Local Communities: We actively contribute to the development of our local community through partnerships with local associations, school-to-work education programmes involving several educational institutions, and initiatives that promote the culture and heritage of Italian natural stone through sponsorships and cultural events.
- Customer Commitment: We offer our stakeholders the assurance of working with a transparent, ethical and responsible supplier committed to creating positive social impact throughout the value chain.
Governance

Building Sustainable Growth Through Responsible Governance
Our governance model is built on transparency, accountability and a long-term vision.
- An Integrated ESG Framework: We have clearly defined our Mission, Vision and Corporate Values, adopted an internal Code of Conduct and launched a structured ESG training programme across the organisation. Our integrated approach combines ISO 26000 guidance, ESG criteria and the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), enabling us to continuously monitor and improve our overall sustainability performance.
- Ethical Business Practices: Approximately 65% of our supply chain is located within a 50 km radius of our headquarters. We carefully select reliable local suppliers that share our commitment to sustainability, monitor their performance through annual audits and build long-term partnerships founded on mutual trust and continuous improvement.
- Shared Responsibility: CEO Luisa Senini serves as the Company's ESG leader and actively participates in several industry organisations. Her strong involvement within the Italian natural stone sector transforms individual commitment into shared responsibility, helping promote sustainable development across the entire industry.

UNITED NATIONS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs)
Senini Stone supports the United Nations 2030 Agenda and aligns its activities with the following Sustainable Development Goals:
SDG 3 Good Health and Well-being · SDG 4 Quality Education · SDG 5 Gender Equality · SDG 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth · SDG 9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure · SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities · SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production · SDG 13 Climate Action · SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals
Through these objectives, we foster a corporate culture founded on responsible and sustainable behaviour, because we believe that natural stone — timeless by its very nature — should help leave a better planet for future generations.
